I start this with a heavy heart. I start it in mourning. I start it grieving and sharing in the sorrow of my friend, brother, and fellow elder Elder Ramsey Wood better known to our congregation as Jungle, who just lost his grandmother. Having known Jungle for the past 17 years I know how important his family is to him. His mom, his daughter, and his grandmother. They are just as important to him as my mother and daughter are to me which is to say they they are his world. And so today when I found out that my brother had lost one of his favorite ladies, having lost my grandmom since I've been incarcerated, I felt his pain and hurt with him. But there was an added pain for me because I wasn't able to be by his side and comfort him. See he and I reside on different blocks and our prison is under quarantine. So I prayed for my brother and his family. I prayed that God would comfort them, that He would envelope them in His warm and loving embrace and ease some of their pain. And I ask that you guys would do the same. I ask that you keep my brother and his family in your prayers. Also, give your loved ones a hug, give them a kiss, tell them how much you love them. Tell them how much they mean to you because you never know when the opportunity to do so will no longer be there. I thank you all for listening and I thank you on behalf of Elder Ramsey Wood for you prayer for his family.
