Mustard Seed/Mountain Moving Faith!

Mustard Seed/Mountain Moving Faith!

/...FOR ASSUREDLY, I SAY TO YOU, IF YOU HAVE FAITH AS A MUSTARD SEED, YOU WILL SAY TO THIS MOUNTAIN, 'MOVE FROM HERE TO THERE', AND IT WILL MOVE; AND NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU. Mustard Seed Faith! The kind of faith that allows you to believe the promises of your God no matter how impossible or improbable they may seem to someone of lesser faith or of no faith at all. The kind of faith that defies expert opinions, logic, and sometimes even common sense. The kind of faith that's so strong it can't be broken. A faith that allows us to stand face to face with whatever adversity or hardship we're facing without fear or apprehension, knowing our God is for us so it doesn't matter whats against us. That's faith that moves mountains and its the kind of faith we should strive for. Now I know popular belief and teaching would try to convince you that if you have faith "the size of a mustard seed" your going to move mountains but faith "the size of a mustard seed" is little faith and little faith is something Jesus chastised his believers over. "O YOU OF LITTLE FAITH" He chastised during the sermon on the mount as He preached about worrying (Matt 6:30) " WHY ARE YOU FEARFUL, O YOU OF LITTLE FAITH" He chastised on the boat when His disciples began to panic as the waves covered their vessel. (Matt 8:26) "O YOU OF LITTLE FAITH, WHY DID YOU DOUBT" He chastised Peter as He was saving him after Peter had walked on water. (Matt 14:31). See faith "the size of a mustard seed" is little and allows doubt, which only weakens your faith more than it already is, to creep in but faith "as a mustard seed" which has grown and matured erases doubt. See Jesus wasn't talking about the size of the mustard seed He was talking about the evolution of it. An evolution He describes in Matt 13:31,32 ...THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS LIKE A MUSTARD SEED... ...WHICH INDEED IS THE LEAST OF ALL SEEDS BUT WHEN IT IS GROWN IT IS GREATER THAN THE HERBS AND BECOMES A TREE

Christ was describing a faith that may start off small but after it has been tested and tried and nurtured and rewarded evolves and grows into something big and unshakable. A faith that leaves no room for doubt or fear. The kind of faith that we need in this day and age. At a time when so many things things in life are uncertain and so many things seem to be out of our reach or impossible for us we have to believe our God not only can but will act on our behalves. And I submit to you that if our faith remains little, the mountains in our lives will always be immovable. But if our faith resembles the evolution of that mustard seed and is small in the beginning but grows and grows until its huge and strong then I guarantee that your perspective on what's possible will change, I guarantee your fear subsides and your doubt not only turns into belief but also expectation. But most of all I guarantee that your mountains move. Our Lord has promised us they will and so they have to. Today, if your faith is the size of the mustard seed without the evolution of it then begin the nurturing process. Feed and water your seed with prayer, with supplication, with fasting, and thanksgiving asking Jesus for stronger faith. Recall and remember instance after instance in which Jesus has been Lord of your life, when He has been your provider, your deliverer, your healer, your redeemer. Remember the times when He snatched you back from the ledge of the cliff before you could go over, or when He brought you through a situation that threatened to consume you. Remember all of the times He's been faithful, remember His displays of His grace and mercy and remember all the many ways that He has blessed you and let all of these moments combined be the strength that takes your little faith and turns it into mountain moving faith instead of them just being moments we so often take for granted. If we focus on our faith now we'll be prepared for the mountains when they arise. God Bless.
