You're prepared to handle anything, you just might not know it yet. Allow me to use King David to show you what I'm talking about.
YOUR SERVANT HAS KILLED BOTH LION AND BEAR; AND THIS UNCIRCUMCISED PHILISTINE WILL BE LIKE ONE OF THEM, SEEING HE HAS DEFIED THE ARMIES OF THE LIVING GOD. MOREOVER DAVID SAID, THE LORD WHO DELIVERED ME FROM THE PAW OF THE LION AND FROM THE PAW OF THE BEAR, HE WILL DELIVER ME FROM THE HAND OF THIS PHILISTINE... (1Sam 17:36,37)
How amazing is it that David killed a lion and a bear? And not only did he kill them but he initiated the confrontation with them. He said he would go out after the bear or lion when they'd take a lamb from the flock he was keeping, he'd strike it and deliver the lamb from its mouth, and when it arose against him he'd catch it by its beard, strike and kill it. And most importantly he knew God effectuated these deliverances. And because he knew this he also knew Goliath didn't stand a chance against him. See, David had been prepared by God for the moment when he'd have to face the champion of the Philistines, prepared through previous trials and victory. Those previous victories provided by God strengthened and deepened Davids faith and confidence in God and when it came time to face the giant David was ready. You and I are no different. One day we're going to face a giant in our lives, something bigger than we've ever faced and God has prepared us for that moment. Just look back on your life and take notice of the things He's delivered you from thus far. Those deliverances are your preparation for future situations. Let them strengthen your faith. Let them produce confidence in your God who specializes in the delivering business. Let those past deliverances be your lion and your bear. Things that have prepared you for whatever comes next and enables you to stand, courageously and confidently, knowing that your God who delivered you then will do it again. Today, know you've been prepared, Prepared By The Best!
