Aunt Ci-Ci is my Aunt, Ms. Cynthia Davis, and while I may address her as "Auntie" she is really like a second mother to me. Loving, caring, loyal, etc, Aunt Ci-Ci mirrors my mom in many ways. She is someone I know I can depend on to be there for me in my times of need or distress and someone I know is going to love me no matter what happens. She's been like a mother to me and in fact greets me "Hey Son" when I speak to her on the phone. Being a minister herself she's been a mentor to me ever since I've entered the ministry, teaching me, counseling me, quizzing me to make sure I'm prepared, but she's also treated me as her equal knowing that our callings are one in the same and that we are both called by God. My Aunt Ci-Ci is a woman I love unconditionally, one who I know feels the same way about me, she's someone I trust with my life because I know she has my best interest at heart. I know how truly blessed I am to have two women in my life who love me the way they do and I thank God for them. Today I salute you Aunt Ci-Ci, and I wish you a Happy Mothers day in advance.
