Keep Praying

Reflection #1: Keep Praying

Every time a phone call with my mother is ending she says the same thing to me. "Keep praying baby" It never fails. As our calls ends I am always exhorted to keep praying and I know why that is. Its because my mom understands how powerful, effectual, and necessary prayer is for a child of God. I, myself, have seen amazing and miraculous things done through prayer. I've seen ailments healed, lives changed, addictions beaten, and souls saved. But even after having seen these things I sometimes find my prayer life lacking and I know there are probably many other people who also find themselves in this position from time to time but I implore every man, woman, and child who are able to beseech the Lord to not let now be one of those times. If you are able to pray I urge you to do so fervently and diligently. At this time, with this Coronavirus attacking our population, we, the people of God, His sons and daughters, need to be seeking His protection, guidance, and help ceaselessly. Not only for ourselves, or only for our families, or only for Christians, and not only for just us here in The United States, but for everyone everywhere on God's green earth because we are all His creation. Just like this is not a time for us to be lacking in our prayer lives its also not a time for us to be selective or exclusionary in our prayers. Now is the time for us to pray for everyone. Today, regardless of what the state of our prayer lives were before we read this, let us renew our dedication to prayer. Pray for everyone affected by this illness that is spreading faster by the day. Pray for the souls of those who aren't saved. Pray for unity amongst us as a people Pray for those you love, for those you might consider your enemy, and for those you don't even know. Pray and keep praying because your God hears you and He is bigger, stronger, and more powerful than any problem you will ever encounter. Pray because he is faithful and will answer. Pray and keep praying. God bless.
