I've decided to place these two women in the same post because their presence in my life originates from the same person. John Koehnlein (pronounced Kay-Line) and I are incarcerated together and he is my twin brother, not by blood or any familial relation, but he is my twin without a doubt. He's also a very great and close friend, fellow elder, and partner in ministry.
My Aunt Kathy is Pastor Kathleen Kuehl, the very same Pastor Kathy who is also my partner in and cofounder of 413 Ministries and Drawing Nigh. I was introduced to her through John and since the day she entered my life she has been someone I've grown to rely on. Her love, care, and concern for not only me but my family also is something that is easily evident and something she's always prepared to act on if the need arises. My Aunt Kathy is one of the most caring and loving people I have ever met. She provides a great example to follow and whether she knows it or not she is a source of strength for me, she is someone whose words of advice and encouragement I appreciate and listen to, and she is someone I feel blessed to have in my life. Thank you for being you Auntie. I love you, Happy Mothers Day.
My Mama K is Mrs. Suzanne Koehnlein, John's mom. The first time I ever spoke to her you would have thought we were two people who had known each other forever instead of two individuals who had just met. I'm her "other son" and she treats me and loves me as such. Today I take the time to celebrate My Mama K and all she does for me and all the love she shows me. Happy Mother's Day Mama K. Thank you for all that you are even though you don't have to be. I love you and appreciate you.
