P.O.W'S #2 (Prisoners Of Unity)

Writer's picture: Christopher McLaurinChristopher McLaurin

This is not so much a reflection as it is a plea. This is a plea for us, the body of Christ to not merely talk about unity. To not merely quote passages of scripture that speak about unity but to actually unify and live unified. This is a plea for us to be prisoners of words that produce and promote sincere, genuine, biblical, Holy Ghost effectuated, unity. Unity that transcends race, denomination, culture, cultural beliefs, backgrounds, preconceived notions, biases, and anything else that divides us and causes us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves, to love one another as Christ loves us. I'm pleading for us to live this way every single day of our lives so that we may be examples to the rest of the world as to how we should treat one another and my hope is that what we show people will become infectious so that one day men like George Floyd won't be leading news story across the nation. Today I am pleading for us to be captives of words of love and togetherness. Unify in thought and deed. Unify in prayer. Unify in praise and worship. Unify in faith and belief that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will honor and sustain our efforts. That He will, through our example, draw unbelievers to Him, converting them, and saving their souls. Today let us be of one heart and one mind, let's begin the journey that leads to us having all things in common. And I know this may seem like an impossibility to some but I assure you its not, in fact its very possible and I would even submit that Jesus is just waiting for us to make the effort so He can do what He's so great at which is making possible what people believe to be impossible.

BUT JESUS LOOKED AT THEM AND SAID TO THEM, WITH MEN THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE, BUT WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. (Matt 19:26)

Today let's unify in faith and prayer, asking our Lord, to unify us in Spirit. Please, today, let our words be ones of unity. If we do I guarantee unity will become a prison and we its prisoners. God Bless.
