I'd like to share something I have learned and know to be true. There is nothing noble about shrinking your Godly character so that those around you don't feel small, nor is there anything noble about keeping your deliverance, victory, and life change a secret so that others who haven't experienced the same won't feel inadequate. When we do these things we don't help people we hinder them, we stunt their growth. When we downplay the things God has done in our lives because it may make someone feel like less than we allow them to maintain their lifestyles of settling for less than and that is unacceptable. Today, if your are, or have been guilty of doing this I want to encourage you to stand and say "NEVER AGAIN!" Never again will you downplay the awesomeness, greatness, majesty, glory, and power of your God so that others can feel better about themselves. If you have devoted yourself to Jesus Christ, if you've allowed Him to be Lord over your life, and surrendered your will for your life so you could live according to His, and because of this He has blessed you in ways you can barely understand let alone explain. Then say so. Tell people about the works your Lord has done in your life and tell them why He did it. Tell them He did it because He loves you and because you have a relationship with Him. Tell them He did it for you because His word promised you He would and be sure to tell them that He'll do it for them too. Today let's vow to proclaim the praises of our God regardless of who's around and how they might feel about it. And this is not me supporting or advocating prideful boasting. Nor is it me saying we should flaunt our blessings in the faces of others as if we're better than them. This is me saying that we should praise our Lord for who He is and what He does so when others see us they'll desire what we have.
